As far as this guy goes, I think it's pretty clear it wasn't the existence of laws or lack thereof that was the problem. It's the enforcement of those laws. Specifically the lack thereof.

It hits home when, having lived in Lewiston, gone to college there, married a girl from there, lived there for over 20 years, was just there in September. Not far away. Not a community of strangers. Possibly relatives or people I know are dead today. Make this stop 🛑

I literally started shaking when you said it was the 565th mass shooting. That’s at least 2825 families ruined in by a weapon that should never have been in the shooters hand.

At this point I’m looking at these as our version of a self unaliving 💣 Looks like he targeted family night while he’s having domestic issues. We always find that the person was on someones professional radar but still has access. So Maine why did he still have access to guns?

I’ll go on a limb and guess he purchased everything legally. He checked all the red flags so, why not? This is incredibly sad and un fathomable. Hope the US gets their act together and remember these situations at the ballot. This isn’t normal.
