Corruption of teaching by making the path crooked and diverting believers away. They themselves should be witnesses to the truth implies a corruption of the heart. 3:187. Deuteronomy 18:15. “A prophet will the Lord thy God raise up unto thee, from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken.” Same test. Brethren. Like Moses. Not a rabbi or priest repeating the old altar. Just an ordinary man who speaks what he is given. Now open the family tree you already accept. Genesis 16:10–12. You cannot accept Abraham, accept Isaac, and then pretend the other son Ishmael was a footnote. Genesis 17:21 quotes a covenant made with Isaac. It does not cancel 17:20. The sacrifice verse is where your text gets tight. Genesis 22:2. “Take now thy son, thine only son, whom thou lovest, even Isaac.” Isaac is named. The Samaritan Pentateuch, the Septuagint, and the Peshitta all say Isaac. No manuscript says Ishmael. But “thine only son” is the problem your own scholars already flagged. Ishmael is the firstborn. So that is a critical error in the Bible. Ishmael is still alive in Genesis 25:9, burying Abraham beside Isaac. The Septuagint saw this error and softened “only” to “beloved.” Jewish readers fix it by the expulsion in Genesis 21, so Isaac is the only son left in the house. That is biased theological explanation, but is not what the Bible verse says. So it was edited to fit a corrupt theology. Hence why I called the Bible corrupted. The Quran’s sacrifice scene in 37:99–111 does not name the boy, and early Muslim readers, including al-Tabari, still said Isaac. Only later readings said Ishmael. Both books have a seam there. Only one of them pretends the seam is not there. Habakkuk 3:3. God from Teman, the Holy One from Paran. Rashi ties Paran to Ishmael with Genesis 21:21, then says Ishmael refused the Torah. Isaiah 42 sends the song as far as the villages of Kedar. Kedar is Ishmael’s son. You can keep the Jewish reading. You do not get to say the places are unrelated to that son. So take your own deal. One verse. Deuteronomy 18:18. A prophet from the brethren, like Moses, with the words put in his mouth. The brethren are named in Genesis. The nation is named in Genesis.
