Pretending like having robots as characters is bad and then paint Gregory as a robot in the next theory for the 100th time

why on earth should we be basing how much emotional investment we should put in a character on whether they’re related to another character this is bullshit

i mean i agree that the characterisation of the humans in the modern era hasnt been great (with the exception of ruin and especially sotm) but like... this is fnaf. we got close to zero characterisation in any of the games for the entire classic era

I think the characters we have now actually have more personality and information on them then the afton era did, since what did we truly know about the characters then? And they don’t have to be heroes for us to connect to them at all lol like that’s not an requirement xD like i don’t give a fuck if Gregory is a hero or not, since it’s cool if he is more of an anti-hero or morally grey and not playing the hero character :)

Saying this as if half of the Aftons and others aren’t LITERALLY built up by theories and the barest of info. And GOD the horrible simplifying of Mimics story as a whole, GT has taken a dip in quality for sure.

I personally don’t sympathise with M2, but that’s because it doesn’t feel like it has its own personality, it’s just mimicking what it sees, that doesn’t feel like a character. Robot characters can be sympathised with, look at Mangle for example.

i think people forget that most of the fnaf characters from before the steel wool era had backstories that were mainly theories, or put together by hints and clues that were few and far between. almost no one is doing that with the newer characters
