Audiences weren’t willing to sit through his second film to allow it to reach its desired profit threshold. The idea that they’d stick around for the full 5-film arc is laughable.

Is it just me or are people forgetting the movies weren’t great (MoS, BvS and JL)? After seeing them at the movies, not once did I leave thinking the movies blew me away (compared to after seeing Guardians of the Galaxy or Endgame). The movies were watchable and only retained my interest because my favorite DC characters were in them.
