The Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security executed a search warrant for Deandre Jackson after USPS intercepted a Glock switch from China. A Glock switch turns the single-shot pistol into a fully automatic pistol. Authorities intercepted another hidden switch in a package during the investigation. Jackson, a convicted felon, admitted he ordered the switches and “he stated they went ‘Brrrrrrrrrrrrr,’ indicating the sound of fully automatic gunfire.” He waived his right to an attorney and told the authorities where he purchased the switches, how he ordered them, and how he paid. Investigators say they also found weapons, including a Glock 23 Gen 5 .40 cal handgun and a 7.62X39 Drago pistol.
