I still like that you can tell Verdona is both Ben and Gwen’s grandmother. She has Gwen’s powers and intelligence, and Ben’s goofball attitude. Obviously she was proud of Gwen because of their shared heritage, but she also clearly shared Ben’s sense of humor, and encouraged it.
