DUDE THEY AREN'T RUNES MINTS THEY ARE ALKANES MINTS AND THE TX COMES WITH A FREE UNCOMMON GOODS MINT. PLEASE INDEX ALKANES AND YOU WILL LEARN THIS IN LESS THAN 1 HOUR.

Right now 98,948 transactions are pending: 48.3 million vbytes, or 49 blocks' worth.

81% of them are rune mints, almost all tiny ~150 vB transactions minting UNCOMMON•GOODS, chained one after another at a fraction of a sat/vB.

Rune mints are 81% of the transactions but only 25% of the space. In contrast, just 462 inscriptions fill 42%. The biggest, a 386 KB JPEG, weighs as much as 662 rune mints:

Then there’s this red block: 299 transactions stuffed with zeroes. Each pushes ~2.7 KB of zero bytes through a Taproot script and pays the same address. 253,137 vbytes of pure nothing.

Ordinary payments, consolidations, batch payouts and coinjoins constitute just 15% of the transactions, and 21% of the space.

999 transactions lock coins behind more interesting scripts: · 190 Lightning channel transactions · 303 Muun wallet swaps · 348 multisig spends · 8 cross-chain atomic swaps · 2 bridge deposits · 26 anchor & v3 transactions

303 are Muun wallet swaps: received lightning payments swapped for on-chain coins. Each HTLC needs the user’s key, Muun’s cosignature and the payment preimage to claim.

8 are atomic swaps from DCRDEX, the Decred DEX. Each BTC leg unlocks when the counterparty reveals the trade’s secret.

2 bridge deposits: The Stacks sBTC peg, sweeping deposits into its ~2,483 BTC wallet A Threshold tBTC deposit, headed to Base

…and 75 I couldn’t identify. Like these 3-of-3 Taproot spends that all share one internal key, and pay a 294-sat marker on every spend: Anyone recognise it? 👀

Plus some outliers: A rune minter sweeping 1,473 dust outputs of 294 sats each

And a 998-of-999 taproot multisig spend

The most bitcoin moved in one transaction: 2,483 BTC back to the same sBTC peg address. The most actually sent somewhere new: 1,198 BTC, out of a 2-of-3 multisig.

so around 80% block space is just filled with spam and non-payment related transactions ?

So u were saying that @LukeDashjr was a bad actor to fork the chain to get rid of spam?! It seems that you and Bitcoin core were the bad actors.

this is #alkanes @subfrostp2p

What a toilet of spam 🚽💩

wrong. will show you how wrong you are

@psacramento_x @hfsplol this is really cool and informative

@LapiuPepe They are proud of this perversion.

That’s a lot of spam. Bitcoin isn’t really money is it and running a node is going to get heavy on time. Though running a nice seems pointless now that it’s clear miners don’t take them seriously.

spam

not runes. alkanes. runes are dead

block 916k-ish, next block ~1 sat/vB floor last i checked. what's the snapshot showing?

Bro is bragging about a dumpster full of junk 🤣🤣☠️

@blockamoto this is very interesting. colouring squares in!

Runes or programmable runes (protorunes) AKA ALKANES? 🤔

very very cool

Fascinating!

@mempool this. mempool depth and the fee curve tell you more about sends than any top signal.

need the numbers. sat/vB per target band is the only part that changes how i send.

good thread. the mempool is the one chart that has no lag and no opinions. keep it coming

thread worth a read. mempool is how you actually see demand before price shows it
