Hey @IKEA, have a look at how 🇺🇸 nurse and 🇺🇦 medic @bekamaciorowski relies on IKEA’s resealable ISTAD bags for medical emergencies. ISTADs are mentioned in the 2nd video of the above post. Would you consider sponsoring some? I’d be more than glad to arrange the contact.

I’m missing some of those things in my IFAK like the sharpie, eye shields, scotch tape, chem light. Will add those now. This is great information, thanks for sharing 👍

Oh Beka, the gunfire towards the end. Thinking of you all and praying for you.

@GSedgefx Very interesting Beka. Thank you. 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇦🙏

Thank you! Very informational! ⛑️

@lambert357 I was putting decompression needles in

@lambert357 Decompression needles are included for those who are trained on them. This video is showing the contents of an IFAK Аптечка of the average soldier. (I removed the needle D from mine for this video)

@lambert357 Ah cool, great video, thank you 💙💛

@cfrankde Very, very helpful. Thank you Bekah 🙏🏻

Gun shots for over a minute, and you are not even blinking. I watch this 1,000 km away from you, and I am instinctively dodging.

Wow, very good information.

Gunfire, schmunfire 😅

Thank you!

@spartan_at Very helpful. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe! 🫡

I did not know a person bleeds more when cold than when warm. My logic told me the opposite, ie, I had assumed more blood in the extremities meant more bleeding. So had a little Google for an explainer: A person generally experiences longer bleeding times and less efficient clotting when they are cold (hypothermic). While cold causes blood vessels to constrict (narrowing) to conserve heat, it hinders the enzyme activity needed for clotting, increasing the risk of significant blood loss from injuries. I did not know about the clotting issue when cold, so thanks! I carry and IFAK around with me here in the UK having donated for some and figured it could come in useful if I ever came across an incident/accident in the UK, I'll do a video later of what's in mine.

👍

I'm surprised there's no iodine & sugar/salt hydration mix. Used to use drops of iodine to disinfect drinking water as well as generally disinfecting because the bleach taste of purification tabs got a bit much after a few weeks. Maybe butterfly stitches & a traccy tube?

You and your medic colleagues are the absolute jewels of humanity. Thank you all for your service and everything you sacrifice for doing what you do.

Thanks for taking the time to explain this to us Rebekah. Respect. 🫡

Thank you for this Rebecca! I support friends in Border Gaurd Units with donations from friends/family of basic First Aid Bandages, Scissors, Burn Shields, Syringes, Plasters etc & personally purchase Israeli Bandages. The Medics then allocate them. Its not much, but it helps🙏

Im a well practiced klutz so.. scissors, alcohol wipes, gauze pad, butterfly bandages, neosporin, nuskin, duct tape, sling, poison ivy wash, lactaid and Imodium for when I forget the lactaid sorry. but you asked😂 from ny.. thank you for doing what you do Ms. Maciorowski

This is quite impressive. With so many horrendous wounds an opiate might be appropriate.

Many scammers based in Nigeria seem to be using your image Rekekah X

Rebekah - Thank You for your Service and Sacrifice to the World and Humanity !!! 👍❤️🙏🦋✔️

Nice, thanks a lot.

Hi Bekah, It is always good to go through the necessary items in the IFAK. I am preparing one to be sent shortly to a DTEK employee because they are not equipped with. I could add that training is a key element. You have to know all the content of the IFAK to be able to use it.

Since you asked what I would include, I think I'd always try to include some means of starting a fire on top of what you show. A wind-proof lighter, for example.

In mine I have a self adhésive bandage, usefull for strain or packing a dressing, facial mask with filter, and a skin stapler. My project was to add a burnshield and an hemostatic compress.

Are IFAKs strictly for the owner to use on themselves or can they be used on others too if the situation requires it?

🙋❤️🇺🇦🫡
