Nick, I agree… they are taking a QB this year -not the one everyone is screaming over… which is going to make everyone angry. Shough, Ewers, or McCord because they are spending the high picks on other positions -which will be good picks, just no room for a QB early.

I agree with the goff example but the difference is there was 10 years of tape on Carr and he never accomplished anything really besides stat padding and the mindset of saying “check the tape” is insane!

Don't know where the "18th-best QB in the league" comes from though. I can't find a major stat where he's lower than 13 and he's top-10 in a lot of them. I think we've created a narrative about Carr based on the eye test and how much we personally like him that simply isn't true.

One thing I disagree with - there is a blueprint for getting a franchise changing QB. Keep swinging on young QBs in the first round until it hits. Basically the only guaranteed way to reset a lost franchise.
