It’s a good example of a band playing together with a lot of energy and again, I think from Daniel Lanois’ input, there’s a respect for the moment. So many times in studios you see people desperately trying to get the best possible sound, but they let the moment go because they want to get something right or fixed, or they know that this bit can be improved, but the moment is something instinctively that you feel and if you get that great performance everything else will bow to it. And you can fix a lot of things afterwards. But, if you get the best sound but you don’t get the great performance, you have nothing. And it’s so easy to forget that in the studio.” - PG

I get being frustrated. I get missing the days where you could name your team’s starting roster in back to back years because it was the same roster. I get longing for the old school rivalries and matchups mattering because it is local kids on the team staying home playing against those rivals. I get it all. I feel you. I understand you wholeheartedly, but let’s not act like these kids are doing something wrong. We play the game because we love it but also because of the future and opportunities it brings financially and these kids aren’t doing anything but acting in a situation that is brand new ! Not just for them, but everybody involved!

Coffeezilla thinks that $STRC is going to fail because it's 11.5% yield is "Too good to be true" comparing it to the Terra Luna moment and described it as a "Ponzi Scheme". There's absolutely no substance to his claims because he doesn't understand it. He sees the headline interest return and then compares it to every other high yield return product but spectacularly misses the fact that this product is nothing like them. Saylor recently did an interview with Bankless and mentioned there were '3 types of people in the world - Optimists, Pessimists & Alarmists". Coffeezilla in this instance is an alarmist. He says that Strategy are 'not obligated to pay you the yield'. Correct....but it's clearly not in their interest to not pay the divided, so why would they not? As Saylor correctly says: "You need to have a stochastic view of the world. We could list 100 things that could go wrong, but the real threat is you get hit by a truck because you're not looking both ways while you cross the street." $STRC is the real deal. Anyone who has watched it closely over the past 8+ months will tell you that.

Culture is genetic because behavior is genetic. This beaver never saw a dam in its life. No beavers or anything else ever taught it to build a dam. It wants to build a dam because it is a beaver. Many beavers together build a big dam. That is beaver culture. Humans are not different. Nothing is different. This is what life is. This is how life works. Your body is your mind. A caterpillar wants to build a chrysalis. A bee wants to build a hive. A lion wants to build a pride. You are not special. You are not above your nature. you are INSIDE of it. The thoughts that we think are genetic thoughts. The crimes we commit are genetic crimes. The art we create is genetic art. Just like this beaver, you can give the animal different sticks and it will build a different dam, but it will always build a dam. And you can give humans different "education," but the human will always use it to do what its genes tell it to do. This is the first big answer that you need. This is the biggest piece of the puzzle. This is how to understand people 90% of the way. You just... notice what they do, and get out of the way, and watch them do it. And if they need sticks, you give them sticks. And if you don't like what they do, you have to get away from them. This is the opening section of the Brahms clarinet sonata in F minor. Here you get the themes of the first movement. Chamber music is nice and interesting because you hear instruments like the clarinet in their full glory - not just as a component of the orchestra, drowned out by strings. Different instruments can hit the f minor pitch, but they all do it with their own timbre - that’s the individuality of the instrument, and you get to experience that in works like this. And someone like Brahms can work out smaller ideas with just a piano and clarinet that he might use later in larger symphonic works. It’s a more intimate form of music because it’s going to be played in a smaller room with fewer listeners, but also because the composer might be trying out something out that isn’t necessarily ready for the big stage. In all events, the opening theme has a haunting quality to it I like this time of year, when it’s rainy and dark. Full link in next post.

Careers are becoming less like playing basketball and more like playing baseball. You might not do anything for a while, but you need to hit the home runs. To do this, you need a human edge. 3) Get comfortable not knowing everything.
