I personally think this is a respectful act. It's not reasonable for every warrior to see the enemy as some inhuman creature. Sometimes you're just doing your job and it's good to remember your humanity, like Christmas truces.

Didn’t wanna cry today but okay thanks. lol God damn. Yeah that takes some balls. And years & years of introspection and soul searching. I probably wouldn’t have been able to do this myself. Bless this man.

The dead soldier must be rolling over in his grave. I wouldn’t want my daughter to embrace the man that killed me and cry in his arms.

Of course. The poor guy that died was just doing what he was told for people who had a cause they believed in. Soldiers should respect one another.

It's good that soldiers respect each other, but it's a shame our Government decided to send soldiers needlessly to their deaths.

Based. There is no white guilt here. This is genuine respect of another warrior fighting for his ideals and nation, and the family that lives on in his name.

If I was forced to fight and die in a war, I would hope the guy that killed me would have respect for my family as well.
