🗣: What's the worst golf ball you've ever tested?

I’ve been a huge MGS fan for 5 years now and really appreciate everything they do. However, Dean Snell has been making golf balls longer than some of the MGS staff has even been playing the game of golf. Respectfully, I think I’ll continue to trust Snell.

As I read this...it's a manufacturing issue which is with the factory. You should rank the factories.

Well nobody goes out of there way to buy snell golf balls. Only time I’ve ever played one is if I pick it up out of the trees

A little surprised by the backlash from This post if I’m honest….to me, it clearly seems NOT be his opinion, it’s just counting… None of the the issues were “I don’t like the way it feels” “I don’t like the way it looks” “I’m not hitting it as far as I normally do”. It was all measurable numbered facts like weight, and shape. Also as stated they got 3 separate boxes from 3 separate locations so it’s not like it’s just one bad box. All this being said if I were a golf ball manufacturer who’s product review just came back this poorly I would be EXTREMELY RELIEVED to see that these were the problems. It seems like none of it is problems that the the design or anything on Snells side. It seems to be almost all issues on the Manufacturing side, and I think he said in the vid that they had to recently change factories? If so yea it kinda makes sense. If you have to have problems these seem to be more easily fixable ones right ? You clamp down on the manufacturer and/or specific plants with the problems, and if they don’t change change to a new better one and the results can change quite quickly and you don’t have to worry about redesigning which I’m sure is a painstakingly long and expensive process.

I’ve played this ball all year and don’t have any issues with it at all. +1.6 handicap

Wow. I'm surprised by MGS's findings & your apparent rush to judgement without pausing a minute. What prevented you from offering Dean a chance to investigate the issues and offer revised balls/findings along with the original test results? That would seem appropriate for someone of Dean's stature in the industry. I believe both brands have been tarnished unnecessarily. @SnellGolf

Ouch. Rough to hear for Snell. I suspect these revelations will wind them up as a company.
