Despite clear instructions from the Election Commission of India and the CEO, West Bengal, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) across the state are acting under political pressure from the Trinamool Congress and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. These visuals from the Kalna SDO’s office are a stark reminder of how constitutional processes are being deliberately obstructed. This is not an isolated incident. Similar instances have been reported from Jhargram, KNSD, and Barasat. In Bolpur and Nadia Uttar, TMC cadres are openly attempting to block the submission of forms with the help of Bengal police. In Kanthi and Purulia also, EROs have outright refused to accept them. What we are witnessing is the systematic breakdown of the democratic process in a critical border state. When lawful instructions are ignored and citizens are denied their electoral rights, democracy itself is under threat. This cannot be allowed to continue. Change is inevitable, and in 2026, Mamata Banerjee must be voted out. I am deeply outraged and vehemently condemn the atrocious incident of vandalism at the Jalangi BDO Office in Murshidabad District, carried out by radical elements masquerading as protestors against the Anti-Waqf Law. Let it be known that this was not an act of protest, rather a premeditated act of violence, an assault on Democracy and Governance by Jihadist forces who seek to spread chaos in order to assert their dominance and sow fear amongst other Communities of our Society. Public property was destroyed, Government Officials felt threatened, and an atmosphere of fear and intimidation was created, all under the false guise of dissent. The silence of the Mamata Banerjee Government is deafening. Why is she allowing, instigating and tolerating such lawlessness? Why isn't there any clear statement issued by the State Government condemning this act of terror? Is vote-bank politics more important than the safety of West Bengal’s People and Institutions? I demand that the culprits must be identified, arrested and prosecuted under the strictest sections of law. This would be the primary step to restore order. Those MPs who are showing dissatisfaction with TMC must resign first and then join the BJP. They won on the symbol of TMC and the face of Mamata Banerjee. It has become a trend to cite dissatisfaction and then try to create another party using the same name. We saw this in Maharashtra, and now we are seeing it in West Bengal. Such leaders must be barred from contesting elections for 6 years.
