WhatsApp is rolling out usernames to help keep phone numbers private. Users can start reserving their usernames now, ahead of the feature's launch later this year. Al Jazeera’s @emmawithrow explains why WhatsApp is making the change and what it means for user privacy.

Privacy is becoming a bigger part of the conversation, and Beldex has been building around it for years.

Everyone should have access to privacy, and that's something Beldex is helping make possible

I think Beldex's BChat is still a step ahead as it doesn't even require a phone number in the first place.

Privacy should not be hard to get. Beldex keeps proving that every day.

Features like this show people care about privacy more than ever, something Beldex recognized early

A good move. It's nice to see privacy getting more attention, and @BeldexCoin has been focused on that from the start.

Beldex has proven t to me that privacy is a necessity and should be easy to have.

Telegram has done this before a long time ago . Telegram is much ahead of then .

A terrifying image of a Palestinian man abducted by soldiers from the Israeli "Netzach Yehuda" battalion, part of the Kfir Brigade, in the Gaza Strip.

That's what telegram does. WhatsApp copying features....

Telegram and signal is always the best

WhatsApp phone number verification is connected to LinkedIn identity check. It’s also connected to Facebook and Instagram identity. You cannot use linkedin while your WhatsApp number is different.

WhatsApp can never be trusted they are liars. This feature will bring more privacy leaks than ever before. Once a thief, always a thief.

Well explained

I have already reserved my own. Am on board.

What's app has never been secure as it claims. They are making more money and users in the name of privacy

Let them allow users to also be able to edit status writings if there is a mistake.

🚨Do you agree that Biden sold out America?

Privacy deserves to be accessible, and Beldex is making that happen.
