Pretty cool.😎 Back in my day, Branch Night took hours. We sat in Thayer Hall with a giant board on stage. By class rank, each cadet stood up and announced their pick. Only a certain amount of slots per branch. One by one, branches were filled & taken off the board. I was lucky, getting the branch I wanted. The last branch remaining for the cadets at the back of the class for my grad year was FA. A week later, the same process was used by Branch to select your first duty station. I did not get my first choice (Ft Bragg) but I did get my second choice (Ft Hood).

@WestPoint_USMA I’m a retired Navy Chief and from what I heard from the many naval academy pilots I worked with, aviation, especially F-18/F-35 drivers are the most desired assignments. What about you guys in West Point? Which assignments are the most desirable?
