This is a huge fear of mine, if my child ever locked themself into a room and couldn’t get back out. I always avoid this by changing all of the door knobs in a house when I move in. I take the key and always label it , make copies and keep it in a safe spot. This woman unfortunately didn’t have the key to all of her doors when she moved in. Her toddler locked herself into the room and she couldn’t get in by any conventional means. So she ended up having to break the door to gain access. I’ve always felt that many landlords don’t take the precautions they need to make sure that this doesn’t happen with their tenants.
