The CBC host tried to shut down how she described the horrific situation in Gaza. Unacceptable. There is no room, whether at the CBC or anywhere else, to reprimand or block a guest who lost family members from calling a spade a spade. Numerous international human rights organizations, including Amnesty and Human Rights Watch, have referred to the mass death in Gaza as a genocide. International bodies have also referred to the situation as a genocide or plausible genocide. The CBC and Natasha Fatah have no right to stop any guest from expressing this perspective. It is a disgrace to those who have suffered, as well as to the honest and free exchange of ideas. We encourage folks to write to the CBC today and tell them how sad and ridiculous this situation is at
