Very good post. I adopted. In a shelter it's noisy & these dogs are scared. If you take one home, be prepared to have patience. It's worth it because you'll have a best friend.

Mine followed the 5-5-5 rule and it was worth the wait. She's the best girl ever.

Best buddy I could ever have.

Great post. If someone took me from my home and put me in a new strange one, it would take me at least 3-3-3, and that’s assuming they weren’t cruel.

First And Last rule Give Tham Love 😘😘😘

Adopted my senior boy after he was surrendered by his elderly owner. Took him a while to acclimate, but a little love, time and space brought him back to life. 🥰

I had adopted a retired MWD German Shepherd girl whose handler had died in an accident 6 months earlier. It took her months…I loved her to the end and still miss her.

So true. We ‘rescued’ from a breeder where she was neglected for a couple months we figured. It took her a while when she came home with us but so well worth it. She comes with us everywhere we go.

These poor dogs they deserve love ❤️🙏

I got my Sheltie out of a house that was a crime scene, he was left in his crate alone and traumatized. He ended up being a wonderful companion.
