Federico Chiesa hit his fastest top speed in two years during that 50m sprint to stop a certain Sunderland winner on Wednesday night. The last time he clocked close to that speed, he was playing for Juventus. Performance and Medical staff's jobs have never been harder at the elite end of the game. The intensity and the lack of recovery time between games means players are generally walking an injury tightrope every week. But Chiesa couldn't perform a sprint like this and not get injured unless the fitness coaches at Liverpool were first class at what they do. Hamstring strains are on the rise and account for 24% of all injuries in men’s pro football. The majority of HSIs occur when players run over 25 km/h and above 80% of their maximal speed, and present recurrence rates of 18%. Interestingly, when this injury occurs during a game, it has recently been shown that it is preceded by a short period (5 min) of an unusual amount of running at more than 21 km/h. One of the best injury mitigation tools at your disposal is to make sure that you hit >90-95% of your max speed regularly in training so, when asked to do so in a game under fatigue, you've loaded your hamstrings to take the demands.

Didn't think we'd get one of these. I first started a Youtube channel back in 2017 doing music and got 6k subscribers after 6 years. And it wasn't for a lack of trying. Then started uploading travel videos with Eunice and somehow got into cooking. It's like a game of dice. You're going to 7 out most of the time but if you keep rolling you'll catch that one hot streak that'll turn it around. Not sure if we consider ourselves as Youtubers since we mostly repost shorts on there but still this is nice. Thank you all ❤️.

190128 sbs young street radio show #WONWOO #원우 💎 wonwoo & mingyu, the two of you sometimes hi-five towards the end when performing getting closer. it’s not in the choreo video though. do you discuss it beforehand? please do it often! 🐈‍⬛ yes! getting closer was pre-released and before that, we didn’t have the hi-five or anything. but we added it later on as we practiced 🐶 the problem that arose after adding it though is that we sometimes forget. and if we don’t talk about it before going onstage, it’s like should i do it or not? 👤 has there been an instance wherein one of you reached out [to hi-five] and the other didn’t do it back? 🐶 that hasn’t happened yet! just to be safe, there was a time i put my hand out and waited for him. thankfully that still hasn’t happened
