when Anthony Bourdain said free Palestine and called out the racist vilification of Palestinians by the media and political class: "The world has visited many terrible things on the Palestinian people, none more shameful than robbing them of their basic humanity."

Bourdain's visit to Gaza

the beautiful message by Palestinian Laila El-Haddad when she learned of Bourdain's passing. She's the author of the cookbook "The Gaza Kitchen" and acted as Bourdain's guide in Gaza and the West Bank. As she says, CNN almost didn't air the episode, but Bourdain fought for it

note what Bourdain said after he visited occupied Palestine in 2013, long before October 7: "It is seriously fucked up. And one has to see it to believe it. I told the Israelis: You are not going to like the cake you're baking. It's only a matter of time before it implodes."

It’s not just vilification but dehumanization. They perceive Palestinians as subhuman

Big up to those who fought when we didn’t even know there was a struggle

The Palestinians have been deprived of the basic human rights by the ones who claim to deliver and protect human rights. A dilemma, of course.

Yeah, that sure sounded like a suicidal individual who saw insufficient reasons to continue participating in this life...🙄🤦♂️

❤️ I promise you, Anthony Bourdain did not kill himself.

I watched that episode when it came out & so many other episodes. Bourdain was a true ambassador for humanity. The loss of his voice is heartbreaking #RIP

My GOAT. Probably the best episode of television he was ever a part of.
