I am less concerned about his financial assets than I am about the destructive policies he's going to implement. Journalists keep focusing on things that don't matter. IMHO, of course.

Selling all your assets would also comply with all the ethics rules. Carney has a choice: Sell the assets at arm’s length and avoid all conflicts. Hide the assets in a blind trust and take his chances.

Isn't it amazing that Mark Carney has over 100 investments that are screened for conflicts of interest and any breaches of those conflicts of interest could be hidden, by Ministers he appoints? This of course doesn't just apply to Mark Carney. A Minister could technically cover up their own conflicts of interest with any company, before an election. Thus averting a scandal before elections.
