Bajrang Dal members had protested by pasting Pakistani flags on the road condemning the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Kalaburgi. A video of two Women removing the flag is viral with a claim that they removed the Pakistani flag. When local reporters were contacted, They say that the women removed the flags from the road thinking it was an Islamic flag. Not because it was a Pakistani flag. “We sell Hindu girls for 8 to 10 lakhs,” confessed Aquib Ansari and Syed Ibrahim A Muslim man from Bengaluru created social media accounts with Hindu names and befriended two minor Hindu girls from Jodhpur. He, along with his friends, came to Jodhpur and eloped with the girls but was caught by the Bajrang Dal in Ahmedabad. The Bajrang Dal stopped the train, searched the entire train for them, and caught one man and one girl, while two other men fled with the other girl. Later another man was also caught and the search for the remaining man and girl is ongoing.

It takes a village, women aren’t supposed to raise babies on their own. In the past women were surrounded by family, friends, neighbours & community. Women were deeply involved in their communities so they had a large community network. The Feminists complaining are the same women that literally advocated for this & destroyed women. YOU DID THIS. Not just to yourselves but you made life harder for ALL women. And I see the sinister intention under the flooding of social media & algorithms pushing White woke women that say they hate motherhood & regret having kids. They want White women in the West to stop having children. We know this from the constant MSM articles & propaganda telling White women stop having White babies. We need to flood the feed with how wonderful & rewarding motherhood is, how special children are & how important a strong family unit is.

As I chaired the #climate panel for the Commonwealth Asia session today a fun anecdote that few know about the Benazir Income Support Programme came to mind as a UN rep asked how one begins the long mile to “ leaving no one behind”. It begins by empowering #women as the Pakistan Peoples Party - PPP believes, and here I share a story about the pivotal importance of leadership commitment in a mtg in 2008 when we encountered stiff resistance to rolling out this key manifesto promise to women in cabinet committee. There was less resistance in 2022 when Bilawal Bhutto Zardari wanted to build post-flood resilience housing that conferred land ownership rights to the women of the beneficiary households, but both programs proved transformational interventions in making women at the bottom of the social pyramid registered citizens with agency, land rights and incomes. These flags are associated with the Bajrang Dal, a militant group part of the family of organisations headed by the RSS or Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. It is despicable that we are seeing these flags and this procession anywhere, let alone here. This is reminiscent of what we saw in 2022 in Leicester before the riots broke out in the same spot. So this is a situation to watch closely. This is not Hinduism, this is Hindutva, the political ideology of Hindu supremacy and nationalism, which seeks to stamp out India's non-Hindu, particularly but not only Muslim, culture, heritage, and peoples, and also falsely position my beautiful faith, culture, tradition of Hinduism as a monolithic, exclusionary identity, which could not be further from the truth. Hinduism is by definition a pluralistic, diverse, syncretic tradition. There is no place for the Bajrang Dal, any related organisation, or any related symbolism on the streets of Leicester, the UK, or anywhere. This is a genocidal ideology that will be defeated. The excuse being given is that this was to mark Ganesha Chaturthi, the festival celebrating Ganesha's birthday. This is obviously ridiculous — if these were good-faith celebrations then why are they brandishing flags of Hanuman with no Ganesha iconography?
