As per city rules, protests are only allowed at Freedom Park and not near Townhall, so police arrived to detain the crowd & A three star inspector took the idol and placed it in an empty police van for its own safety. Later the police officer moved it to a police jeep and Later Police did Visarjan.

Is it just me, or have you also noticed this? In the past 3-4 years, coinciding with every Hindu festival, there is a new Islamic festival that we have never heard of. Previously, it was limited to two Eids, Muharram, and one or two other festivals. Now, they have a festival around almost every Hindu festival. For instance, they have something around Ganesh Chaturthi (this year they celebrated the 1500th birth anniversary of the founder of Islam). Then they have a 11-day-long festival coinciding with Chaitra Navratri where they tend to replicate Hindus by setting up long tents and play music just when aarti puja begins or the visarjan procession takes place, and they also have festivities around Gupt Navratri. Same goes on for the whole year where they hold Bhandara's like us, processions and more. Here's another one replicating Chhath Puja.

The first egg hit near the roto-setup close to the Murti. When people gathered at the spot, eggs were thrown again onto the canopy of the mandal setup.
