'Pigeon' spikes are a fkn disgrace. 'Pigeons' are actually Rock Doves and the buildings we construct mimic their natural habitat ie rock and cliffs with ledges, this is why they have permeated towns and cities. It's not their fault that we build perfect environments for them.

Doesn’t always work. I moved into a house that had some of this spikes under the eaves and the sparrows built their nests around them and successfully raised chicks a number of times. Lovely to watch.

These things should be banned except in exceptional circumstances. Almost all bird species are in decline, and their lives are tougher than most people imagine. We need to make urban areas more, not less, bird-friendly.
