When Chris Tomlin discovered the earliest known Christian hymn, one thing stunned him: the first worship song we have “has nothing to do about us” and is all about the glory of God. He explains why that changes how we think about modern worship and the songs we sing...

Last day of the first half of the year 2023 Only God has brought us this far I don’t know about you, but after counting my many blessings, I have come to worship God! If this is your position, Join me to worship Him! We see how far you have brought us and we worship!

Church takes offering while the worship band sings ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’, because a song about ostracizing uncle Bruno and associating bad luck with his pagan visions & magical power is just the type of song to sing in church.

Can we go back to singing songs like this in church? I’m honestly tired of many of these modern worship songs. One of the beautiful things about songs like this is how they unite us. Christians across so many African countries know them and sing them in their churches. What’s even more amazing is that this singer isn’t Nigerian, he’s from Cameroon, yet he sings it just like a Nigerian. 🇳🇬 That’s the beauty of these timeless worship songs. They bring believers together across cultures and borders, reminding us that we are one body in Christ

Smith: Inside the Capitol, Donald Trump is lying about the state of this nation. He is using division to drive us apart, to make us think that we are not one nation, one community, and that is why we are all gathered here today because we are against the chaos and the corruption that he is spouting back there.

By this same time last year, and even the year before, my wife, the brethren, and I were homeless 😢. In obedience to God, I moved to Lagos to shepherd a small branch of about fifty faithful members. Those days were filled with real pain, deep sorrow, and moments that could have broken us. Yet in the midst of it all, we chose praise. We kept lifting songs to God when tears were our portion. It was from that very small room, with nothing but faith and worship, that some of the songs now known across the world were birthed. Out of lack came sound. Out of pressure came praise. God has given me countless reasons to worship Him, and I will never lose my faith. Praise is my weapon. It is in the heat of battle that victory songs are formed. This is why I sing every day.

"Jesus won the big fight already, so no matter what we do, we can go out there and just play free and play for the glory of God". In the time we've gotten to know him, Mark Gronowski has been fairly outspoken about his Christian identity. Today I asked about his faith, and how he and the QB room are so openly connected in this way.

CJ Stroud on if God is blessing the Texans because of their testimony: “I don’t want it to ever be confused, I don’t think God is like ‘the Texans are gunna win.’, but I think regardless, win or loss he gets the glory, and that’s up to us, that’s just worship. Him giving us our talents, abilities, & these jobs, he’s more than worthy of all the worship is really why we do what we do. It’s not because we want favor from the lord. In my opinion, you don’t just get favor from the lord just because you give him glory, he deserves it. It’s not because we follow Jesus that we win every game.”

Like many Protestants, this former protestant, who is now a Catholic priest, was lied to that Catholics worship Mary, and we will all go to hell 😆 🤣. Protestant pastors spend all day lying to their members about the Catholic Church, and what's funny is that protestants who research about the Christian religion end up becoming Catholics 🤣. Anyways, for the umpteenth time, Protestants, we don't worship the Mother of God. We honour her just the exact way Angel Gabriel and Elizabeth honoured her.

Miller expands that ‘we need to take on, uproot and disembed the Zionist movement in all of our western countries’. And, ‘It’s not just…that we think about how we support the resistance in Palestine, it’s that we think about how we practically do it materially in the UK’ 🎥

Very well said by Carl Edwards before the green flag today talking about how this race has connected the USA and Mexico, specifically the children performing the anthems. "When we sit in the United States and we think about Mexico, we think about all sorts of things. We've got (the) Border and we've got all sorts of issues and concerns. "But to know that those children are here, practicing our national anthem, and to deliver it in such a beautiful way and to welcome us, I think it's just bigger...It's the biggest thing." 🇺🇸🤝🇲🇽 #NASCARMexico

🇺🇸 BRANDON LAKE AT THE OPENING WORSHIP - CHARLIE KIRK MEMORIAL "If we could have one moment with all of our attention, point it to the one who created us, who loves us the most. And nothing that you could do could ever make him love you any less anymore. Can we give him just about 30 seconds of our undivided attention? Attention as we sing this chorus. With our hands to the heavens today, surrendering everything that we're feeling, that we're facing, that we're wrestling with. Knowing that he is sovereign, he is higher. We can trust him." Before you ask God for anything… worship Him. Saints, there is something that happens when you forget about everything around you and simply begin to worship Jesus. Worship shifts your attention from the size of your circumstances to the greatness of your God. It quiets the noise, strengthens your faith, and draws your heart into the presence of the Lord. There have been moments in my life when I didn’t have the words to pray—but I could worship. And in His presence, fear began to leave, burdens became lighter, and my heart was refreshed. Don’t wait until everything is going right to worship Him. Worship Him in the waiting. Worship Him in the battle. Worship Him because He is worthy. Take a moment right now. Forget about everything else, lift your heart to Jesus, and worship Him. There is nothing like the presence of God. 🕊️

Post 63 The Difference Between Worship and Prayer Worship is for its own sake; prayer embodies a self-interest element; that is the great difference between worship and prayer. There is absolutely no self-request or other element of personal interest in true worship; we simply worship God for what we comprehend him to be. Worship asks nothing and expects nothing for the worshiper. We do not worship the Father because of anything we may derive from such veneration; we render such devotion and engage in such worship as a natural and spontaneous reaction to the recognition of the Father’s matchless personality and because of his lovable nature and adorable attributes. Paraphrasing The Urantia Book 5:3.3

WHEN GOD GOES ‘SILENT’… Many a time, we wonder why God does not seem to hear us. We bother about His ‘refusal’ to grant our petitions for power, position, or prosperity. We lament that He has left us at the mercy of the enemy, watching us suffer when He can change the situation in an instant. But little do we know that God will never leave us; He is only preparing us or preserving us for the great goodness to come. Next time, when Satan tries to make you feel God has gone silent, remind him that your new level is on the way! #TBJoshua #TBJoshuaLegacy #EmmanuelTV #SCOAN #Christian
