Take it from an old boy that’s been married 61 years. This is never gonna work.. never. Unless you’re totally submissive to your wife.. we decided since we both worked and made very good money each had their own bank account. Now it’s one joint account with two different numbers.. US Bank will set that up for you. So if I want a new boat, I just buy it.. if she wants a new sofa or a dining room table, she just buys it. On all other things we agree and we each pay half.. we split all household expenses, except groceries right down the middle. I still buy lots of nice things for my wife.. We have a great loving relationship. There hasn’t been an argument over money in 40 years. I’m not your wife is dedicated to home life this will save your marriage .
