When deforming text in #blender, the result can often appear stretched & distressed. Quickly Fix it by adding a Remesh modifier, set it to Sharp, untick Remove Disconnected and increase the Octree Depth. Be careful of high geometry though! #b3d

Alright! I am back to rigging! Took some time to figure out how and when the suspension would kick in, but it worked in the end. Blender just became a prompt box. Kimi K3 + Blender MCP can take a simple text prompt and build an entire 3D scene for you. terrain, buildings, lighting, materials, camera movement, animation, even the Python scripts holding everything together. but the crazy part isn’t just that it can build the scene. If you think this is just another silly demo made with AI, read this post. You might change your mind, because this demo is about MATH. What you see on the screen is not a render from Blender (obviously, it’s not that good). It’s a three.js app built with Toolcraft. Available on the web and rendered in real time(link in the comments). But Blender still has a lot to do with it. Blender has Geometry Nodes - a powerful node-based system for creating and manipulating procedural geometry. In other words, it’s math. And math is a universal language. And who do you think is pretty good at math? >>> AI. Now you can download or buy Blender files from marketplaces, and when they contain Geometry Nodes for procedural animations, objects, surfaces, or effects, you can transfer that logic to the web. Make it real-time, make it interactive. Materials are a separate story, of course. They can still suck unless you use the right tricks: PBR, HDRIs, material blending, displacement, and faked surface relief. So why is Blender important here? Blender is open source, and many tools around it are open source too. An AI trained on their code. That means it can translate the math from one environment to another quite accurately. If you’ve been struggling to reproduce some idea with AI that you had in your head or seen in some references, and it has something to do with Geometry Nodes, and you can find that idea or a close one in the Blender ecosystem - it means you can transfer it to the web. It seems that Gemini 3.7 Flash can be used to rig and animate 3d models in Blender. I imported a model and asked it to add the armature and /loop until it got a good looking walk cycle. It was also able to do some texture painting to fix some coloring issues. Pretty neat!

oh yeah heres a better look at the animation that plays when going from lyrics to chair section you can barely see it in game and the duplicate hand on the chair is covered by the "Shucks" graphic so i never fixed it (it would be a really easy fix tho)

Part of the reason IT people are being laid off is that many of their abilities can be replaced by AI. In the past, the joke was that you would just google it, but that still required some IT knowledge. Now, you can ask AI how to fix an issue and it will walk you through how to fix most things. (if you have admin permissions to your computer) To be fair, no one knows all the weird nuances and issues that can arise with software so google has always been used to find IT fixes - but it took more research and knowing how to implement the fix before.

All it needs is a drawing or an image to start. From there it gives you thousands of fully editable detailed objects with geometry so clean it hurts. Anyone can build an entire 3D world just by talking now. What is happening.

I had an early access to GPT-6 Astra and I can say, everyone in the world now has a 3D designer at their fingertips. I gave it an image of a house and asked to create it in 3D with all the details including toys, appliances and furniture. This a full 3D model reconstruction in Blender with geometry that you can manually tweak and run 60fps as a locally rendered "game" on device.

Tested Claude + Blender today with two real workflows. Sharing what actually happened. First one was a simple demo. Gave it one sentence to build a cyberpunk room. Geometry, lighting, camera, render. It got there, though not everything in the prompt landed perfectly. Good enough to show the concept, not a stress test. Second one was more interesting. Threw a raw photogrammetry scan at it. Massey Ferguson tractor, 250k faces, grass background everywhere, debris floating all over the place. Asked Claude to clean it up autonomously. It did the work. Removed 106 floating chunks, cut face count by 87%, stripped the grass, flipped the model upright, set up studio lighting and rendered. Technically it worked. But honest answer: the result wasn't clean enough for production. This kind of cleanup still needs the right tools and someone who knows what they're doing. So here's where it actually fits. Not the precise technical stuff. The setup work. The repetitive stuff. The things that take forever if you don't already know Blender. It won't replace your 3D artist. It replaces the boring part before they start.

I haven't seen anything like that in Blender. A physical atmosphere sim (that works in EEVEE and lets you do eclipses and stuff) and lets you *zoom out to space*, basically? p.s. Ah, it's developed by the creators of Flow. Now it makes sense. #b3d
