Dr Karl blocked me after I told him that California was not 100% renewables as it had a nuclear plant. He’s now saying all nuclear plants have to be abandoned after 50 years because they become “dangerously radioactive”. There are dozens of reactors 50+ years old. New reactors are designed to last 80+ years. When they do shut down, it’s not because of radiation, and the land doesn’t have to be abandoned. Where does Dr Karl get this information from?

You heard about it but had to see it with your own eyes…an entire town abandoned, they even left their cars behind. They must have had to leave in a hurry. The only things I could think of were some kind of outbreak, a nuclear reactor accident, or the threat of a dam break, but the people never returned so it had to be pretty awful to keep them away forever. I’m trying to figure out where this might be, but even the road is overgrown with vegetation. Does anyone know where this abandoned town is located?
