The State Capture of Ethiopia by Oromo Fascists Abiy Ahmed Ali 🇪🇹 came to power 6 years ago with the promise of change, a promise to move #Ethiopia away from the ethnic politics that had deeply divided and polarized the nation since an ethnic based apartheid constitution was imposed on Ethiopians in 1995 by the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF). After 27 years of subjugation by a small ethno fascist Tigrayan elite that had dominated the Ethiopian economy, military and intelligence, the Ethiopian people were desperate to move away from ethnic politics and towards a more unifying pro Ethiopian politics. One of Abiy's first actions when he came to power was purging Tigrayans, who had an oversized representation within most institutions, from positions of power and replacing them with Oromos. He then went on to dissolve the EPRDF political party that TPLF had established when they first came to power, and replaced it with Prosperity Party, which he claimed was a pro Ethiopian party. While telling non-Oromo Ethiopians that he wants to move Ethiopia away from ethnic politics, he was telling his Oromo constituents in Afan Oromo that Prosperity Party was established for the interest of Oromo. In a speech he gave in Bale, Oromia 4 years ago, he is heard telling an Oromo crowd that "Prosperity Party was created so that our enemies (Amhara and Tigrayans) don’t get to sit down and make decisions on our country’s future. Those who say Oromo aren’t capable of building their own party to rule Ethiopia, or that Oromos shouldn’t rule Ethiopia are the ones insulting Prosperity Party." Today, almost every institution in Ethiopia is led by Oromo fascists, from the Chief of Staff of the Ethiopian army (Field Marshal Berhanu Jula), the Commander of the Ethiopian Air Force (Lt. Gen. Yilma Merdasa), the Head of the Federal Police (General Demelash GebreMichael), the Mayor of Addis Ababa (Adanech Abiebie) and many others. Even religious institutions aren't safe from Orommumma domination, where the chair of the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council, Grand Mufti Sheik Umer Iddris (Amhara), was replaced by Haji Ibrahim Tufa (Oromo). The attempt to form a government backed breakaway Oromo Orthodox Synod in February of this year was also part of this Orommumma project, but with major backlash and after many civilian deaths, Abiy backed out of this plan and instead forced the Ethiopian Orthodox Church to ordain government appointed ethnic-Oromo bishops. Today, after fighting a devastating two years civil war with TPLF that killed close to a million people and destroyed Tigray, parts of Amhara, and parts of Afar, Abiy and his Oromo fascist government have waged a full scale genocidal #WarOnAmhara as they see Amharas as the last obstacle to fully implement the Oromo domination of Ethiopia. Abiy's recent claim of Ethiopia needing ownership of the Red Sea is also part of the plan of bringing about Oromo domination. His speech below from 4 years ago will give you a clear idea that his plans of bringing about Oromo domination goes beyond Ethiopia's borders. The brazenness of the Russians keeps growing – they are attacking Ukraine more and more often in broad daylight with dozens of strike drones. Last night there were 150 drones; this morning over fifty more; in the evening dozens more, and most of them were “shaheds.” In fact, swarms of Russian drones in our skies serve as an accompaniment to Russia’s statements from China. An open disregard by Russia for everything the world is doing to stop this war. Yesterday, the Russians literally denied what President Trump said about the leaders’ meeting that is needed to end the war. These days in China, Putin keeps spinning his tales – as if he is not responsible for the war. As if someone always “forces” him – to fight, to kill, to drive children into shelters, to send thousands of people to storm our positions. And now we see another buildup of Russian forces in some sectors of the front. The only thing he refuses to be “forced” into is peace. Russia continues to launch strikes. Of course, we will respond, including asymmetrically as well – so that Russia truly feels the consequences of its audacity. And we continue working with our partners to put pressure on Russia – and that will happen.

🚨Breaking : Door to door massacre of Amhara civilians in Awra Godana town of Amhara region by Oromia Special Forces: Context: Awra Godana, is located in Amhara region close to the borders of Oromia and Afar, a few kilometers from the Ethio-Djibouti railway. The Oromia government has been trying to annex this strategically located town into Oromia. Last year they sent their special forces to attack the town disguised as militia, even killing a dozen federal police. They got routed by the local Amhara militia, losing at least 26 of their fighters. The incident even got international media attention. The Oromia government claimed Fano invaded Oromia, they even had the CGTN Africa reporter Girum Chala, who has business links to Oromia PP, report on Desolate that it was Amharas who invaded Oromia. It’s important to know that the Oromia Special Forces were never disband in April, only the Amhara Special Forces. What happened yesterday and today: Since ENDF is losing ground in most parts of Amhara, the Oromia government wants to annex this town to take over the Ethio-Djibouti route. There was no Fano presence in the town so ENDF encircled the town yesterday to prevent the locals from getting any Fano reinforcements. This was followed by an attack on the town by Oromia Special Forces (OSF), the locals were able to defend themselves with high casualties for OSF. Amhara Civilians strong enough to run fled the town. Today the Oromia government sent more OSF reinforcements backed by ENDF artillery support. The locals fought until they ran out of Ammo. Fano couldn’t make it to the town due to ENDFs blockade. This is when Oromia Special Forces started going door to door and killing any Amhara civilians they could find. They brought Oromo youth from the neighboring Oromia region towns to loot as many properties as possible. The looting and killing is still going on. I have transcribed and translated a brief interview journalists Mesay Mekonnen and Dereje did with survivors: Journalist: The town of Awra Godana, in Minjar Wereda of Amhara region is under the full invasion and occupation of the Oromia Special Forces (OSF), there is door to door killing and looting. The residents of the town are fleeing for their lives. Those who couldn’t flee are in dire situations. Witness: Houses are burning, people have fled the town. The town is fully controlled by Oromia Special forces. What’s shocking is the level of looting, people (from the bordering Oromia towns) are looting everything, the Oromia Special forces are loading trucks full of peoples properties, every house has been looted by OSF. And ENDF is behind them overseeing it, the forest is full of people (Oromos from Kireyu) running with looted properties. We have several pictures and videos of these incidents, I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. They’re destroying the entire town. Residents of Awra Godana, those who can have all fled to the forests. The town is being completely destroyed. But despite these facts, they are independently verified, the State Department, and others said the US government continues to push for a Transitional Justice. Transitional Justice in a very simple term is like reconciliation or forgiving, and moving forward. We don't believe, I personally as an International Relations Researcher, and as a Human Rights Defender do not believe Transitional Justice would lead towards stability and peace. What could lead towards sustainable peace in Ethiopia is, real accountability and Justice mechanism that the people continue to call for. This is not really a call only coming from the people in Tigray, I believe this is a call that is echoed across the board by all Ethiopians. There is a very legitimate reason why that's the case, why we don't think transitional Justice will lead Ethiopia towards sustainable peace and stability. One, the federal government controls all Judiciary mechanisms in Ethiopia including the Supreme Court, doesn't have the political will nor the commitment to render Justice for the crimes it committed. Two, the Ethiopian Judiciary System doesn't have the capacity to adjudicate crimes as grave as weaponized sexual violence, and man-made famine, and massacre. Third, and the most important thing is the conflict in Tigray was not a local conflict, it was a regional conflict that involved #Eritrean, #Somalia to a certain degree, #UAE United Arab Emirates and many other countries, and so there has to be a Justice and accountability mechanism that truly reflects the reality, and has the intention, and the capacity to forge a better path going forward. But what's happening today as it has been echoed earlier when folks from the State Department were talking is that the US Government, and others haven't seen enough of the evil nature of the Federal government, they haven't seen enough of how little to no regard the Federal government has when it comes to Human Rights, and they want to continue giving them chance to kill and and massacre more people, and marginalized even more people in the Nation. So really the solution here is for Global, or International Partners including the US Government to have a well informed foreign policy towards Ethiopia. Foreign policy that centers the aspirations, and the political wishes of the #Ethiopian people and not necessarily the few that continue to influence the Foreign Policy. The last thing I would say is, ensuring that there is a victim centered approach to everything that we do, as we continue to aspire and to hope, to create a better future for Ethiopians. They destroyed Ethiopia decades ago by introducing identity politics, ethnic division, and a militant, anti-cultural, Marxist ideology, leading to the devastation and destruction of the country by way of war and genocide. These same powers are now attempting to destroy Western civilization by tearing apart the structure of the family, shutting down free speech, and flooding the West with ideological zealots that aim to reduce Judeo-Christian values in the West to ashes. President Trump and his administration came up at the perfect time to impede such a destructive agenda from meeting its end goal. when Trump was president between 2016 and 2020, he played a role in removing TPLF from power: A fact that was stated by Sebhat Nega in an interview in Mekele. 🚨 horrible conditions of more than 6.000 Sudanese refugees in Kumar, Ethiopia 🇪🇹 ( This morning we woke up to several phone calls on our WhatsApp hotline as usual. But this time it is a number with the country code of Ethiopia. One goes into the guess: what would someone from Ethiopia want from Refugees in Libya? But let’s answer the call! We picked up the call and someone started the conversation in an Arabic tone: “Are you David Yambio?” “Yes, I am” i told him. He goes on to introduce himself and says that they are dying and they need help. But in the meanwhile he asks “will you allow me to turn on my camera to broadcast the situation?” I tell him to wait while I ask immediately another comrade to start filming, because I don’t know what he will show me on a video call or if we will ever get in touch with him or who knows if that is the last drop of his battery 🪫. We dive into the topic, as I ask curious questions about everything possible to foster my understanding of the situation. But the bandwidth is low. I can’t see clearly what is happening, but I see throngs of people and his voice comes in and out. I tell him to rather record a short video of the circumstance and then tell me all details in a voice message via WhatsApp because that is easier in such situations. The network is still dropping and I am so lost, that I haven’t convened the right message and at the same time I wonder if I raised his expectations for a rescue by asking him to record a short video. The call ends and I immediately sent him a voice message, explaining in details what I need to know: the location, what is happening, when did they leave Sudan and who is there helping on the ground, the UNHCR? The government? Charity organisations? I ask for anything that could help us understand the situation and who to target. It is more that two minutes that the message has been delivered, but in my WhatsApp status it indicates that he hasn’t seen the message yet. I am lost and mad because I couldn’t help, I wondered if I will ever hear from him again and if not, what will happen to the thousands of people that I saw in that video call? I went out to get some fruits for breakfast but every minute I check my phone as messages pop up but none is from that stranger from Ethiopia. in between, I receive two calls from Libya but I tell them that I will call them in a few minutes, because in my head I am hoping that the person stuck in a desperate situation in Ethiopia will call and he would find the line busy? I did the shopping and immediately went home, but I can’t sit or start my breakfast as I move up and down in my room. I ask my comrade “what if the person doesn’t call back? How do we reach him? What do they want from Refugees in Libya? What if they send us the video we requested for, what will we do with it?” “We can ring an alarm 🚨?” I asked while feeling disappointed. A few more minutes passed and messages started to pop in: desperate faces, many more hundreds in one picture, signposts and banners about the situation at Kumar camp in Ethiopia ( In the pictures are persons wearing jackets with the UNHCR logo and I immediately tell myself that at least they will be helped.
