One of my favourite lines is 'kill my flesh not my spirit' because it reminds me that you can have all your material possessions, your house, your reputation, your family even your health taken from you. But no one can ever take your spirit from you. Unless you give it away. And your connection to your soul and spirit is the most important asset you have, as it connects you with the Divine. BTW there is both literal meaning and sarcasm throughout this song, for anyone that hasn't picked up on that yet.
