Thanks to @CBSSunday David Martin (@USNavy #Veteran) for telling story of Fred Smith on @FedEx 50th anniversary, how people make it possible & now his service as @USMC in #Vietnam influenced him. @vietnamwar50th @DeptVetAffairs @DeptofDefense -

@MayorMemphis My late father’s logbook entries from his @fedex Falcon 20 type rating in early ‘73. Last entry on this page is N8FE which resides in the @smithsonian I look at this book all the time in amazement of where it all began. #worldontime

Remarkable story in business and entrepreneurship. I didn't realize he had a military background. Truly a genius who revolutionized an industry.

Fantastic story about this great innovator! Truly amazing!

Wow…incredible!!!

I had no idea that was the backstory of the founder. Terrific! @FedEx

My stepfather went to high school with Fred and they remained friends. Fred even visited us in Mexico.

*Retired Marine. The only such thing as a former Marine is if they received a dishonorable discharge. Thank you.

@FedEx 15 million is great , HOW MANY DO YOU LOSE ??? You have had mine a year on Tuesday the 6th …. HOW MANY ?????

If the shareholders had ANY clue what is happening inside the Ground terminals across the country then FE wld cease to exist. If you think FE is bad right now just wait. Raj is intentionally sinking his own ship but there must be a nefarious reasoning.
