When I first met Alistair Docherty he was caddying at Silverleaf trying to earn enough money to go to Q school. Didn’t make it, tried to Monday throughout ‘22 w/little going his way. Just shot 64 in the biggest round of his life. On the PGA Tour. Sick!!

@adocherty16 This is so awesome. Talk about making a good bet on a guy and then that guy making the most of an incredible opportunity. They need to pair him with Nick Taylor for the first two rounds of the RBC Canadian.

Four years ago Alistair Docherty was out of cash. About to sleep in his car. We raised some money for him. A follower of mine asked about story. Ended up giving Alistair $15,000. It helped keep his career going. He just won the Argentina Open.

Max Homa shot a final round 64 to finish solo 2nd at the John Deere Classic and earn his best PGA Tour result for more than 3 years. It wasn’t quite enough for the win though as he finished 1 shot behind Chris Gotterup who shot a final round 62. After the round, he reacted to it: “Yeah, no, thanks. I don't think you tip your cap. I had a good chance to catch him. He just played better. “He's a phenomenal golfer. I obviously tip my cap in reality, but that's not exactly how I felt out there. It was nice, honestly, to have him go out there and post a number and get going because my goal to start Saturday was to get to 20, and he got there quicker than I thought. So that was just nice to see. “Yeah, he's obviously a phenomenal golfer. I got to play with him yesterday. He's like the nicest dude, too. Very happy with the way he played. I had my chances. I just needed to be a little sharper.” Max has now moved to 73rd on the OWGR and inside the top 50 of the FedEx Cup Standings. PGA TOUR John Deere Classic

According to data golf, Brooks Koepka gained .89 strokes OTT today in his second-round 69 after losing .41 yesterday. Apparently, Koepka realized his Titleist GT3 hosel setting was in B1 (.75˚ flat) instead of his preferred A1 setting (standard). Q. Big difference between yesterday and today? BROOKS KOEPKA: Yeah, just drove it better. Some of my setting on the driver switched if A1 to B1. No one noticed it. Switching back to A1, which is what we usually had it and just driving it better. Q. Noticed that on the front nine yesterday when you looked down? When was the moment? BROOKS KOEPKA: On the driving range yesterday. Q. After your round? BROOKS KOEPKA: Yeah, after the round, yeah. What's wild is, at least according to when I shot photos of Koepka's driver in Phoenix earlier this year, his driver has been in B1 all season. He currently ranks 76th on the PGA Tour in SG: OTT in 2026 with .111. He was 7th in the stat in 2021, his last full season on Tour.
