#GDRAGON #지드래곤 #权志龙 #ジヨン’s Acceptance Speech – 16th Korea Popular Culture & Arts Awards, Order of Cultural Merit, Okgwan 🏆✨️ 🐲: Hello, everyone. I’m GDRAGON, the youngest recipient of this year’s Order of Cultural Merit, the Okgwan. 🌼: Handsome‼️ 🐲: I know, I know. It’s been almost a year since I made my comeback after a long break. Hmm… if I remember correctly, I first auditioned when I was about six, holding my mom’s hand. Since that day, I’ve been chasing the same dream. As a teenager, my dream was to become a singer and I achieved it. In my twenties, I received awards. In my thirties, I was honored with the Okgwan Medal. So now, I’m looking forward to what my forties will bring. Ah, by the way, I had to rush here, so I’m a bit out of breath. I prepared a lot, but now that I’m here, the words don’t come as easily. First of all… I’ve always admired singers since I was young. I still do, and I’m truly proud and in love with being a singer myself. Not only that, but also all the seniors who allowed me to dream they were always like shining stars every night. I grew up listening to their songs, and now, after becoming one of them, our group will celebrate our 20th anniversary next year. I want to share this honor with my members, and I’m also deeply grateful to VIPs and FAM. I’m currently on a world tour, and it’s truly amazing. Every day feels like a dream. Every night before bed, I tell myself, “Good night, sweet dreams,” and it gives me strength. If you keep having good dreams every day, those dreams can become reality and when reality becomes a dream again, you can dream new dreams. Chasing dreams day by day even if the dream doesn’t exactly come true it still makes life feel wonderful, right? So, to all of you, I may be the youngest this year, but I have experience… yes, haha. I hope you all have good dreams. Thank you 🌙 #권지용_문화훈장_수훈 #아이돌_최초_옥관문화훈장

Spokesman for U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres responds to questions over UN Watch’s exposé: Efrat Lachter, Fox News: Given the thousands of civilians who were killed by the Iranian regime, do you think it was wise that today you sent a letter of congratulation to the Iranian authorities? Stéphane Dujarric, U.N. Spokesman: So the letter that went out from the Secretary-General is a standard letter that goes out to every member states on their national holiday. And this has been a tradition for decades. Every year each member state gets the exact same letter, right? Congratulating on their national holiday and conveying best wishes to the people of that country. As I said, the letters went out yesterday to Iran, Gambia, and Lithuania, if I'm not mistaken. So it's like I said, it's a decades long tradition. And I said each member states gets the exact same letter. It should not be interpreted by anyone who receives it as an endorsement of whatever policies may be going, the government may be putting in place. It doesn't change the Secretary-General's view of the crackdown that we saw in Iran, which he called horrendous, given the level of violence and deaths that we saw. Fox: Following up on that, the Iranian Foreign Minister is said to come to address the Human Rights Council later this month. How does that reconcile with what you just said? U.N. Spokesman: Well, first of all, that's a decision of the Human Rights Council. We also believe this. This is a membership organization. Every member state has a right to address legislative bodies and every member state has a right to question whatever statements others may be making. It is not within the Secretary-General's authority to bar a Member State from addressing a legislative body. And for the Human Rights Council, I would ask you to ask the President of the Human Rights Council.

Michael Rosen, "Covid has affected millions of people.. All aged affected by covid" Michael Rosen 💙💙🎓🎓 NICE 爷爷 Sky News, "We all know someone who was really badly affected by covid, for other people was sniffles.. You were in a coma" Michael Rosen, "The care was amazing.. The last thing I remember was a doctor standing by my side asking if I'd sign a piece of paper to put me to sleep. And I said, will I wake up? And they said you're got a 50/50 chance. And I said, what if I don't sign. They said, zero. So I signed" "45/46 days.. First thing I remember was a nurse.. She asked, what do I want. I asked, what have you got. She said shepherds pie. And I said, I'll have that" "I was 42 days in a coma.. I was badly affected" Sky News, "When you talk to people what kind of reaction do you get? For a lot of people it's a distant memory, a bad dream, they want to move on and look forward. Whereas some are affected by it and have long covid too" Michael Rosen, "People are generous to me.. People are affected in many ways.. At a book festival a person came up to me, they gripped the table and said I've got long covid, and said this is the most they could do.. There was a shadow across their face.. A shadow across their face that they lost their life before, and had complete exhaustion" "Luckily, I haven't had that sense of complete exhaustion, that you can't get out of bed and if you do you're completely smashed for the rest of the day" Sky News, "Do you think people need to be reminded there are those putting themselves in harms way for the rest of us?" David Friedberg: The Eric Swalwell allegations were widely known about by California insiders, but held back for the perfect moment. Was this a hit job to clear the path for a preferred candidate in California? “Back in December, when it was first rumored that Swalwell was going to run for governor, I started making some calls to various folks to be like, ‘Hey, what do we think of this guy? Is he going to be a good candidate?’ I spoke to several people who independently told me that there's knowledge about this guy sending pics to employees, and that this guy has a bunch of stuff that's going to come out about him. And I largely kind of dismissed it, because I was like, if this is true, this would've all come out already. If multiple people are telling me about this, then I've got to assume that it's a rumor that's being used to block him from running for governor. And then everything that I had been told started to come out in the last week. So the striking aspect of all of this for me was how much knowledge there was about these various incidents with the guy, how so many people had this knowledge, and how no one had actually brought the knowledge to bear. Which begs the question, why did they not do what was right by the victims? Or, why did the victims sit on the sidelines waiting for the right moment to all come out together? These were all being held back purposefully and deliberately for a very particular moment in time when they were all brought forward to be used. And that's what was so striking to me is just how coordinated all of this was. My sense of it is that there are certain insiders, and he's not an insider. Katie Porter, I think, is who the Democratic establishment wants to be governor. She's an insider to national Democrats, she's an insider to California Democrats, and I think that she's the preferred candidate.”
