When I started filming in British rivers over a decade ago I looked for three things. Clear water, lots of plants and plenty of fish. It's all be impossible to find in today which sickens me given its happened in such a short period.

No body understands how connected all these systems are, dying rivers effect every strand of life. From pollinators to pest control systems, there is a natural collapse, it's a preventable disaster.

I live near a stretch of the Avon in wiltshire. Every year for the past 20 or so I’ve seen perch, barbel and roach in the river. Last two years nothing, all gone.

It’s a complete and utter disgrace. Air,Water and Soil we humans are abusing them all. Our bird life is disappearing, along with insects and fish. We MUST stop this decline, but nobody appears interested only a minority!
