María Corina Machado on her escape from Venezuela: There was a certain moment in the trip in the boat where I was hurt. The waves were very high, over six feet, and there was a strong wind. We got lost in the ocean. We lost the GPS, the satellite phone stopped working, and the Starlink antenna did not work — all at the same time. It was a very risky, dangerous, and scary moment, and it lasted several hours. At the end, I believe it is a miracle that I am here.

Namjoon talking about how Taehyung first took him to museum in 2018 and after that he has had passion for it. 🐨: I was in 2018. I was really, really bored and I got nothing to do. I didn't know anything except like shopping or playing games in the room. So just it just suddenly popped up and uh the a member of the team called V just proposed me like why don't we go to a museum and I was like a museum? I am not a museum guy and [laughter] isn't it just boring just just to go there and but we just went there uh because we got nothing to do and I saw the uh the paintings of Monae and Van Gone Sarah and of course I I knew the names of them because saw them uh and in the book when I was in school. So, but it was literally the first time to just have a like physically to have a chance to look at their actual um paintings. And um I think impressionism is is still the biggest uh the most widest open entrance for all of the outside people uh in the art in the art world. Yeah. So, Monet and G and S, they opened me the entrance and um as I got into it like further and further more and more, I just my taste um became a little bit more of a complex and uh complicated. So, yeah. Um, yeah. That's how I just got into it.

How you work is how you determine how great you want to see yourself. I compete with myself intentionally. I remember my first moments in Stillwater. A lot of people..including certain teammates..misjudged my confidence for cockiness. I made sure to introduce myself the right way. I sacrificed most of the parties while I was in college. I was so focused.. whenever I got around my teammates..all I wanted to do was talk football. I showed my high school highlights to my college teammates. Respectfully a lot of them weren't on the same page. I remember my first practice. By the time we ended practice..everyone knew why I was there..I love the game and loved working hard. I stayed motivated..motivating my teammates..especially the wide receivers…It's a certain demeanor you carry whenever you know you've worked for it. 💎🌹🙏🏿

On the 21st of June 2022, 4 years ago, when I was still a surgeon, I had no social media presence of significance, and a year before I started my podcast, I attended this meeting. I listened to Aseem Malhotra and Jay Battachyria essentially say that mistakes were made, and it was simply well-intentioned people who made mistakes during covid. To say I was disappointed was a huge understatement. When the mic was given over to the floor, I was the first to speak. And what was their response? They didn't have any.

This MMA teacher is being criticized for his methods of teaching. While others are praising him for toughening up their kids. I don’t think he’s doing anything wrong, I think he’s doing it in a controlled manner and at no point is anybody upset about this. Even the child was happy with a sense of accomplishment when he was done. It definitely gave him bragging rights. I was doing my kata, it was afterschool and I was so tired already, I also didn’t get a chance to eat lunch that day and was feeling the effects of that. I wasn’t as sharp or quick as I normally was. I also forget a few of the motions in the routine as well. I remember it to this day, every time my arms weren’t where they were supposed to be, I got hit by a piece of bamboo, when my feet weren’t where they were supposed to be, got a strike to the leg. I wasn’t allowed to complain or wince or they would strike again. It made me focused no matter how I was feeling that day. In real life when things happen, they happen whether I am ready or not so now I finally understand what the lessons Sifu was trying to teach me.after going through all of this, I wouldn’t mind if my kid went through it, I want him to know what a strike feels like.
