When I was a kid, I don’t ever remember trees exploding because of cold weather. We would have ice/snow storms that would break trees but there was no snow or ice on this tree. Is this real or is this AI?

Why were they recording a tree? Was it making weird noises before this happened? Was it smoking? Did someone place a cherry bomb in the trunk? Seems a bit sus. But what do i know.

Trees 100% don't explode from cold😂

Yeah, that's fake as hell. It's true that trees can split or crack in extreme cold from sap freezing and expanding, which can make a loud bang. But that's frost cracking, not a full-on explosion with a glowing hot spot like in this clip.

Not sure this is caused by the cold. Especially when it appears to have a charge placed inside that was detonated. Anyone else agree?

Extreme weather shifts can cause this. Yet it is extremely rare. Matter of fact it is much more like likely to happen from cold to extreme heat. Frost cracks occur suddenly, can be several feet long, and are often accompanied by a loud rifle shot sound. They often originate at a point where the trunk has been physically injured in the past. Maples and sycamores are the most prone to frost cracks. Apples, ornamental crabapple, ash, beech, horse chestnut and tulip tree are also susceptible. Isolated trees and trees growing on poorly drained soils are particularly prone to frost cracks. Here is a common ex. of stress cracks from cold.

Yeah this is common. People have written about how in a forest there will be random gunshots or thunder going off and echoing through the trees randomly.

Frost cracking due to very rapid freezing. Rare but does happen like this. I lived in Alaska for a few years and heard it/saw the aftermath a couple times. Doesn’t mean the vid is real though.

Serious question: how did that guy just happen to be outside in the freezing cold, pointing his camera at that exact tree, right before it 'exploded'? The odds are astronomical. Either he is psychic, talks to trees or this might be staged.

Yes. This happens. Lived through the ice storm of 1998 in upstate (nearly Canada) NY and yes. This happens. Makes perfect sense.

I live in Wisconsin and have entire my entire life and not one time have I seen one. Seems fake honestly and Plus they were already recording the tree makes this even more fishy.

Why would the government decide to test a top secret weapon on a random tree in the middle of a neighborhood in subzero temperatures? My guess is it’s just rapid changes in temperature. Look at our roads in Michigan in the spring. Tons of cracks and potholes from temp changes
