When I was counter-protesting the Al-Quds Day rally peacefully by stating Canadian law: “Hamas is a terrorist organization”, Toronto police arrested me to protect the feelings of the jihadists. Since I had not broken any law, they were forced to release me with no charges. I did a short...

Over 2,000 people marched peacefully in Toronto to support the hostages and condemn antisemitism. During the march, a jihadist assaulted Maayan Shavit, a family member of Kinneret Gat z"l (who was murdered on October 7th in Kibbutz Be’eri) and of Carmel Gat z"l, a hostage (who was murdered in Hamas tunnels on August 29, 2024). This incident occurred in front of the Toronto police. I stepped in to protect her and de-escalate the situation. Suddenly, Toronto police aggressively attacked me, threw me into the middle of Yonge Street, damaged my sign and phone, and handcuffed me. They pushed me to the other side of the street. I calmly explained what happened, stating that Maayan is a family member of hostages and that if the Toronto police arrested her after she was attacked by Hamas supporters, it would be all over the news, causing another international embarrassment for Canada by the Toronto police. When the Toronto police officer realized his mistake, they immediately released me without any charges. We continued the march, and at the end, we took our unity picture. Thank you to the Jewish community and special thanks to Maayan, who stood in my defense in front of the Toronto police. This is the true meaning of unity. The antisemitic jihadist who started the incident was left free to harass Jews and victims of Hamas terror, while I was handcuffed for defending a family member of the October 7th terrorist attack. This is a clear example of two-tier policing. Neither Maayan nor I broke any laws. Neither of us was arrested or charged. Now, I have pain in my wrists and shoulder due to the very tight handcuffs and the police twisting my shoulder. I stood against the Islamic Republic in Iran, and I will continue to stand against hatred and antisemitism in Canada.

This is what domestic terrorism looks like. This is the crystal clear example of supporting terrorism in broad daylight in front of the US consulate in Toronto, which is ignored by the Toronto Police, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and the Canadian Security Intelligence Service. The pictures of Qasem Soleimani, Hassan Nasrallah, Yahya Sinwar, Ismail Hanieh, Hashem Safieddine, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and other terrorists, were freely waved in front of Toronto Police at the Al-Quds Day rally (March 23rd 2025). Al-Quds day is created by the Islamic Republic in Iran and Al-Quds day rallies have been backed by the IRGC terrorists and also they are clear example of hostile forign interfrence in Canada. Faras al-Najim, the terrorist sympathizer who waved the banner, is very well known to Toronto Police, York Regional Police, RCMP and CSIS Canada, but they refuse to enforce the law against him. 2+ years ago, he ran over the peacegul Iranian-Canadian protesters with his car. He has a history of harassing and assaulting journalists, MPs Melissa Lantsman and Garnett Genuis, former MP Kevin Vuong 🇨🇦 and the victims of the Islamic Regime. He holds candlelight vigils for Qasem Soleimani, the top terrorist of IRGC's Quds forces. The IRGC killed 55 Canadians in an intentional missile attack on flight PS752. It is matter of time before he commits an act of terror. For putting this guy and the other terrorist sympathizers like him in front of justice and preventing potential terrorist attacks like Bondi Beach, we do not need empty words from politicians. We just simply need to enforce the law. Since Toronto police are now urging the public to "report anything suspicious immediately" to keep our communities safe, I offer my FREE help to educate them about terrorism to pay my share to keep Canada safe from terrorism. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

My Statement on Conditions for the Use of Firearms by Police Officers I have seen debates, reactions, and expressions regarding my recent statement on the use of firearms by police officers. My statement was made contextually and consciously with clarity of mind based on the express provisions of the law. No leader, scholar, jurist, journalist, blogger, or opinion shaper has challenged me on the law. At my age, position, and experience, I cannot utter statements that are not supported by the Constitution and the law. Throughout my career, I have never, in my conduct or utterances, found myself on the wrong side of the law. Indeed the Sixth Schedule of the National Police Service Act, in Paragraph B(1), provides the conditions for use of firearms by the Police as follows: 1.Protecting the lives of officers or civilians 2.Self-defense against imminent threats of death or serious injury protection through justified force 4.Preventing the escape of felony suspects from lawful custody I ask all those who are spreading misinformation, disinformation, and fake news to challenge me on the law. Those who are saying I issued an order to the police should show where the order is. A mere restatement of the law as it exists cannot amount to giving an order to the police. The Police are mandated by law to operate within the constitutional framework, the statutes, and the departmental standing orders. In any case, I have no constitutional powers to give such orders; instead, I have a duty to support the police and to formulate policy recommendations to aid the application of law in the enforcement of law and order. Our police officers who are attacked by robbers, rioters, and arsonists—who have torched police stations, stolen rifles, burnt suspects alive, and burnt property worth millions of shillings, including courts —cannot be left helpless when they have been given the authority by the Constitution and the law to defend themselves, the citizens, and their property. The law is in black and white.

I just got out of jail. Here’s what happened — and what happens next. I was arrested today. Toronto Police handcuffed me, searched me, put me in a police car and took me to a jail cell. None of that has ever happened to me before. I’ve never committed a crime in my life. And I didn’t today, either. I was arrested because Toronto Police said I was “causing a disturbance”. But I wasn’t. I was quietly doing journalism — filming a grotesque pro-Hamas demonstration in a Jewish neighbourhood in Toronto. It really was sick: they had someone reenacting Yahya Sinwar, the former leader of Hamas. They had a whole display on a sidewalk. I live nearby and I wanted to film this astonishing act. It was as brazen as the KKK burning a cross on the lawn of a Black church. Except in this case, the police were defending the Klansmen. Bizarre. One cop kept pushing me away, which I told him was inappropriate and illegal. But then the boss of the whole police operation — named Officer Macduff — told me that my mere presence there was a “disturbance”, because the Hamas people didn’t like me. In other words, he was giving them a veto over my Charter rights. In my earlier analogy, it would be like police telling the folks inside the Black church not to antagonize the KKK outside, because they could get violent. Since when do foreign provocateurs, promoting a banned terrorist organization, get to veto who can and can’t walk on a sidewalk? Or which journalists can film a news story? Outrageous. I was finally released from jail. And the police wisely declined to press charges. But I’m not done with them. Officer Macduff was as plain as day. He said my Charter rights to walk on the sidewalk and film a public spectacle only go as far as these Hamas thugs say they go. Well, that’s not how it is. And I think he needs a judge to tell him that. I’ve spoken twice to a top lawyer today, who agrees we’ve simply got to stop this. Canada is being ruined by these pro-Hamas thugs — you probably saw their full-out riot in Montreal over the weekend. Someone’s got to stand up to them — and stand up to woke policing that permits this kind of mayhem on our streets. So I’ve decided to sue the Toronto Police for violating my Charter rights, for being errand-boys of the Hamas thugs, and for not enforcing the actual laws to protect Canadian citizens. I’ll have more details in the days ahead — I’m still getting my bearings after being arrested and jailed. In Trudeau’s Canada, journalists are routinely arrested and jailed. Actually, scratch that. Only Rebel News journalists are routinely arrested and jailed. Which tells you everything you need to know: these are political decisions. They’re the result of two-tier policing. And that’s got to stop. If you want to help me continue our journalism and push back at these illegal arrests, please click here. Suing the police is no easy thing — they have unlimited funds. But I think they need a judge to tell them what they’re doing is wrong, because Trudeau certainly won’t tell them, will he? We’re already suing the police for arresting our reporter David Menzies FIVE TIMES this year. But today’s arrest of me was particularly egregious, in that the commanding officer was crystal clear: the only reason he was arresting me is because the Hamas thugs were upset by my mere presence. Could you imagine allowing that to stand? REPORT by Ezra Levant 🍁🚛:
