When it rains, it is going to absolutely POUR over the coming days. This setup screams flooding wherever this band of moisture sets up. Have a way to get watches and warnings over the next couple of days!

A big pattern change is coming to Florida this week. The week starts off with typical rain chances, however, a plume of deep tropical moisture will impact the state late in the week into next weekend, bringing a threat of heavy flooding rains. #flwx

🚨 The Western US is about to get RAILED by Snow. This begins early next week as an Atmospheric River of Moisture absolutely BLASTS the West Coast. ❄️ The heaviest Snow will fall in the Sierra Nevada, where up to 100 inches, nearly 8 FEET, could pile up mainly Monday through Wednesday. 🏔️ Heavy Snow is also likely in the Rockies, where places like Colorado and Utah have been STARVED for Snow. Multiple waves of Moisture could bring 1 Foot or more over several days. 🏔️ The Cascades get in on the action too, with up to 1 Foot or more possible. Some Snow arrives this weekend, with another stronger round next Wednesday. 🌧️ Lower elevations in California and Washington could see Flooding Rain, with localized totals pushing 3 inches or more. Overall, this is WELCOME news for our West Coast brotheren who have seen very little Snow over the past month. 👊 Enjoy the Snow and Rain, my brotheren.

Things start to turn a little colder over the next couple of days Milder air will give way as colder conditions sweep in from the northwest This will bring a return of wintry showers along with stronger, fresher winds

For the first time this winter, the polar vortex is expected to break up. 🧐 Although it is currently strong, it will begin to weaken over the next seven days and split into several smaller vortices by mid-February. This process could bring below-average temperatures to Europe in the second half of February. 🤗

Crazy footage out of Mexico. It’s simple physics: a warming planet means a warmer atmosphere, and warm air holds way more moisture (about 7% more per 1°C). When it rains now, it absolutely pours because the sky is holding so much extra water. This is what climate change looks like.
