No, you can’t go back to 1992. This is what a day at Marine World looked like back in the early 1990s. The park started out in Redwood City back in 1968 as Marine World Africa USA. It moved to Vallejo in 1986, and when Six Flags bought it in 1999 they renamed it Six Flags Marine World. Then in 2007 it got its current name, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, to showcase the perfect mix of marine animals, wildlife, and amusement park rides all in one place. source footage 🎥: Ken Peterson

The park announced that EAGLE will race during the park’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, which is happening from June 20-August 9. The classic wooden roller coaster opened in 1981 with a red train and blue train racing side by side. It is the tallest, fastest, and longest racing wooden roller coaster in the world. Six Flags Great America opened to the public 50 years ago today - May 29, 1976. In honor of the big day, the park is handing out party hats and some treats. There will be a fireworks show at 9:30pm.

NEW: Fights break out at the opening day of Six Flags in Georgia ending with police shooting a 15-year-old. This is why Atlanta can’t have nice things. Police say they were called after they received reports of *500-600* people running and fighting at the park. The park then cleared out and the fights continued outside of the park. Police say this is when multiple people began shooting. Police got involved in the shooting and hit a 15-year-old who allegedly had a gun. He is in critical condition. “It is incredibly disappointing that our community is disrupted at public events throughout the region by groups of underaged youth,” Six Flags said in a statement. “We join our community and the Atlanta region in our commitment to safety and security. We won’t put up with that type of activity here.”

These parents went to Six Flags, then they went to eat and say they got home at 11:00 PM the night before. The problem is, their toddler is still in the car. When the police let them know, they don’t seem too upset over that fact. Could drugs and/or alcohol be involved, and what should happen to parents like this? Some people shouldn’t be in charge of children. Part 2 in comments below.
