When Labour say 'devolution', what they really mean is more politicians, higher taxes, and more interference in our lives. They'll let mayors put our taxes up, but never cut them. Taking more of people's money and calling it 'empowerment' is completely outrageous.

Have you examined the financial competence of county councils or mayoral areas ? Concentration of power in one person - a Mayor is not devolution. Mayor decisions will override an entire body of elected local Councillors. Its de-devolution of powers.
