ICE protesters act with impunity, and anything they do, such as hitting an ICE officer, they think is OK. This is predictable: when you stop enforcing the law, the population of lawbreakers gets used to breaking it. Then, when you try to enforce the law after a period of non-enforcement, those lawbreakers get indignant because they think the law has changed, but it hasn’t; it’s only starting to be enforced again.
