Valora’s next patch is big, so we’ll break it down part by part. This first post is focused on progression and combat. Level cap is moving from 40 to 100, with a new XP curve made for a much longer grind. Combat is also getting deeper. 4 new spells have been added, bringing the total to 7: • Blink (lvl 40): teleport with cooldown • Frostbite (lvl 60): damage + MP removal • Blastwave (lvl 80): AoE damage • Cataclysm (lvl 100): heavy damage + AP removal Spell damage is no longer fixed. Spells now roll between a min and max value, adding a real chance factor to PvM and PvP. Spells can also be upgraded up to rank 5 using spell points earned while leveling, but players won’t be able to max everything. Different choices, different builds. This is only one part of the patch. Next posts will focus on the dungeon, new mobs, boss fight, drops, new high-level items, gear sets, bug fixes, and item stat changes. The dungeon boss will also drop new items, including the second Valdoria relic out of the 6 total relics. Full technical details will be added to the wiki when the patch is deployed.

Nsimba is growing up and learning all the time in the wild, just as elephants should. Me: The story of the Emperor's New Clothes is a story about common knowledge, because when the kid blurted it out, he actually wasn't telling anyone anything they didn't already know. They could see the Emperor was naked. But he still changed their knowledge, because by blurting it out with an earshot of the others, now everyone knew that everyone else knew that everyone else knew that everyone else knew. And what that allowed them to do is change their relationship with the Emperor, from obsequious deference to ridicule and scorn. And the thing about common knowledge in the social realm is that it's what props up our social relationships. And so when something is blurted out, then it can change everything.
