And she was 100% accurate. Trump’a hate has filtered down to every day life and normalized it across the country. It was always beneath the surface, but he gave it permission to not be hidden anymore.

As a person and a husband with spine disabilities as well as a son with one I wholeheartedly agree. It made me totally and forever etched in my mind the type of person- people we are dealing with on the other side. Never ever forget who he is and who the people that cheer him on are. They are sad, heartless, disgusting vermin. I was grateful and proud to place my vote for Hillary, unfortunately through Russian interference that awful hatred infiltrated and brought out the worst in America. Fortunately in 2020 a man of character, caring and Compassion was voted in to restore our soul of this great Nation and now we must fight to continue to keep those values, principles and actual policies that help the American people and end the hate in America once and for all and we the great people of the United States of America will do just that as we stand united and committed to come together to show the maga hatred that Love always wins💙 We will do this by electing VP Kamala Harris as the next President of these United States of America. Let’s go! Let’s do this!I am so grateful for President Joe Biden for saving us from the grips of disaster in 2020 and all that he has done for the American people over the past three and a half years, and now with his decision to pass the torch to Kamala to continue these principles and policies I feel we can and will save our Country! #Kamala4President2024

The mocking of the disabled reporter was when I thought, "Trump can never win." Meryl Steep is amazing to say this publicly.

Listen to her. Listen to wisdom.

Meryl Streep,an empathic person with strong roots in our universal human value of compassion for others, beautifully expresses the concerns of many people.🙏 Trump can't win. We need to win the battle for that disabled guy and many others.

@Tucsonbelle12 It should have ended there

Her words were powerful because the words spoke to Who we are, not just as Americans, but as human beings? Thanks for sharing the video👏🏽👏🏽

Prescient of her to say. I’ve often said racists who spent 8 yrs angry about having a Black president and homophobes triggered by gay marriage saw representation of their bigotry in Trump. His actions trickled down, giving people permission to be the worst versions of themselves.
