We’re excited to introduce ShinkaEvolve: An open-source framework that evolves programs for scientific discovery with unprecedented sample-efficiency. Blog: Code: Like AlphaEvolve and its variants, our framework leverages LLMs to find state-of-the-art solutions to complex problems, but using orders of magnitude fewer resources! Many evolutionary AI systems are powerful but act like brute-force engines, burning thousands of samples to find good solutions. This makes discovery slow and expensive. We took inspiration from the efficiency of nature. ‘Shinka’ (進化) is Japanese for evolution, and we designed our system to be just as resourceful. On the classic circle packing optimization problem, ShinkaEvolve discovered a new state-of-the-art solution using only 150 samples. This is a big leap in efficiency compared to previous methods that required thousands of evaluations. We applied ShinkaEvolve to a diverse set of hard problems with real-world applications: 1/ AIME Math Reasoning: It evolved sophisticated agentic scaffolds that significantly outperform strong baselines, discovering an entire Pareto frontier of solutions trading performance for efficiency. 2/ Competitive Programming: On ALE-Bench (a benchmark for NP-Hard optimization problems), ShinkaEvolve took the best existing agent's solutions and improved them, turning a 5th place solution on one task into a 2nd place leaderboard rank in a competitive programming competition. 3/ LLM Training: We even turned ShinkaEvolve inward to improve LLMs themselves. It tackled the open challenge of designing load balancing losses for Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) models. It discovered a novel loss function that leads to better expert specialization and consistently improves model performance and perplexity. ShinkaEvolve achieves its remarkable sample-efficiency through three key innovations that work together: (1) an adaptive parent sampling strategy to balance exploration and exploitation, (2) novelty-based rejection filtering to avoid redundant work, and (3) a bandit-based LLM ensemble that dynamically picks the best model for the job. By making ShinkaEvolve open-source and highly sample-efficient, our goal is to democratize access to advanced, open-ended discovery tools. We had a meeting with Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari who advised us and supported on the Tunnel Project as a solution to our city’s traffic woes. State BJP leaders, who are on a warpath against the project, should first listen to their own Union Minister. When tunnel roads are built by the Central government across India, it’s called development - but when we plan one for Bengaluru, it becomes controversial. The problems affecting Washington state are the result of homemade policy decisions from Olympia – not Washington, D.C. For years, Washington has had among the highest prices for housing, groceries, fuel, and child care. We also suffer from high rates of crime, homelessness, and drug use. Bob Ferguson and legislative Democrats enacted $9.2 billion in tax increases – the largest in state history – exacerbating our affordability crisis. Some of those taxes will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2026. State Democrats are also proposing a new statewide payroll tax and Gov. Ferguson is committed to passing a state income tax in 2026. House Republicans oppose new taxes and have offered dozens of solutions to the many problems facing our state, including a framework that would solve the budget deficit without raising taxes or affecting important services.

We did it. We created the 1st VR Ordinal inscribed directly into Bitcoin. This digital artifact, part of Penrose award-winning film Allumette, may appear unassuming, but she's a technical marvel. Her existence was realized through cutting-edge advancements, such as recursive Ordinals. The complexity? Our VR films, made with Unreal Engine & Unity, have file sizes in the gigabytes. Contrast that with the kilobytes / megabytes in the BTC blockspace available for inscribing data. The innovative solutions to bridge this gap were challenging but fascinating. Happy to share more if there's interest. Props to the gifted group who created her, including some talented & generous humans. But not least of all GenAI, whose essential contributions continue to be a cornerstone of our efforts. This achievement is just the first step in demonstrating what's possible in the integration of VR & blockchain. More developments to come.

I have seen this trending everywhere, APC is now claiming that Peter Obi’s visit to the European Parliament in Strasbourg never happened and that the photos and videos are AI-generated. Most people in APC are actually battling mental health problems, because what other reason would you have, to deny a publicly documented event like Peter Obi’s visit to the EU. That is why we need him to invest in healthcare, so we can rescue these sycophants that have lost their minds. To be clear, Peter Obi was indeed in Strasbourg, where he engaged lawmakers and stakeholders on issues that matter to Nigeria and Africa. He spoke about the economy, insecurity, poverty, youth empowerment, corruption (Tinubu’s middle name), and the need for stronger EU-Africa partnerships. The tragedy is that APC have become so accustomed to Tinubu’s terrible governance that whenever they see a true leader discussing policy, facts, and solutions, especially on an international stage, their first reaction is to shout “AI.” As the saying goes, the empty drum makes the loudest noise, but it is the loaded vessel that moves the harvest. This is Philanthropy at its best, serious philanthropy by Zimbabweans in Zimbabwe… The private sector has to complement govt efforts especially in sectors heavily impacted by 23 years of cruel US Sanctions. It’s also shocking that folks at U.S. Embassy Harare choose to target people like Tagwirei who have a clear record of assisting & empowering Zimbabweans… Their sanctions are clearly designed to inflict lots of pain on poor Zimbabweans by eliminating their source of help.
