What happened yesterday in Belgrade is not just unacceptable — it is dangerous. A university raided without warning. No clear legal basis. Cameras ready, humiliation staged. As Rector Vladan Đokić said, this was never about investigating a tragedy: it was about sending a message — “look what happens to those who refuse to stay silent.” But another message broke through. While police entered one door, thousands of students arrived at another. Not organised. Not intimidated. Not silent. Because they understood what is at stake: if a university can be targeted, no citizen is safe. Our Secretary General Sandro Gozi was clear: “A power that sends police into a university because the rector stands with students is a power that fears freedom, fears accountability and fears the truth.” This is a turning point. Not only for Serbia — for Europe. Silence now would mean acceptance.

BRS always preaches about journalism. Is this how you show it? By sending people to damage a Media office? When you were in power, your supporters spread lies and abused many of us. After President Vučić’s letter of 21 August to Ursula von der Leyen – revealed yesterday – accusing students and protesters of violence and speaking of “restraint” by the police, EDP Secretary General Sandro Gozi has replied with an open letter to the Serbian president. This is what Vučić cynically and hypocritically calls “restraint”: students forced to their knees, filmed like trophies by the police, minors arrested, unspeakable violence by the police, hundreds jailed for political reasons, independent media under attack.
