@Louise_m_perry One of the problems people don't want to talk about is that women have unrealistic expectations:

@Louise_m_perry Only 10% of men. The other 90% do worse

@Louise_m_perry Men are human beings who need love and connection just like women do. No healthy relationship is one based on the use of leverage.

Many Women may have felt like they settled bc they compare the man they married in their 30s to the guys they dated in their 20s. Yes, you nearly married that hot rich smart guy in your early 20s, but no way he looks twice at you when you are both in your 40s. Between those two ages, women experience a slow, uneven and unfair loss of power on the romantic marketplace. So yes, women may have felt like they settled before dating apps, but admitting the truth, that older women are generally less attractive than they were when they were younger, is a harder pill to swallow.

Today, we remember Reyhaneh Jabbari, a 26-year-old Iranian woman EXECUTED for defending herself against RAPE. Imagine facing death simply for saying "No"! Western women, stand with us in amplifying Reyhaneh’s voice and all women in Iran who risk everything for their dignity and rights. #ReyhanehJabbari #WomanLifeFreedom

@Louise_m_perry I have a wonderful marriage. This conversation is a sad commentary for my children’s prospects to have the same wonderful marriage.

@Louise_m_perry "Men's" favor? More like in favor of the Andrew Huberman's of the world.

@Louise_m_perry Thank you SO much for this. Casual sex can really destroy a woman's sense of self.

@Louise_m_perry Thank you Bari Weiss. Great piece.

@Louise_m_perry Honest question: is this a bio female or a stealth male disguised as a woman aided by camera filters? Truth matters. Sex matters. If you platform sec mimics like Wu, anyone you platform is sus.

“The sexual culture of the 1950s was pretty good…. I think we did it pretty well right up until the sexual revolution.” Author Louise Perry says that when studying the ideal sociocultural norms around sex and marriage from an anthropological perspective, she “almost reconstructed traditional Christian sexual ethics from the ground up.” Listen to her full conversation on finding love in 2025 with Bari Weiss:

“The pill made it harder for women to say no.” Jordan Peterson and Louise Perry had a raw conversation about modern dating and sexual dynamics. Louise pointed out that before the pill, women had a clear, physical reason to refuse sex: the risk of pregnancy. Once that risk was dramatically reduced, saying “no” became much more personal and emotionally difficult. She also noted the agreeability gap — women often find it harder to be assertive, especially when they can no longer point to a concrete consequence. Peterson added that sophisticated women who know how to set firm boundaries are incredibly attractive to men, and men will test those boundaries. It’s a candid look at how technology changed the rules of attraction and consent in ways we rarely talk about openly. What do you think — has the pill made saying “no” harder for women in practice?

In the 1970s older men had a better handle on how to interact with beautiful younger women. They formed relationships with them not just as sugar daddies, giving $$, but based on sound understanding of the differences between men and women.

It’s really interesting when very plain and average looking women like the one in this video go on like this about looks. The phenomenon she is describing is actually the reverse men’s physical preferences in women receive far more pushback than women’s physical preferences in men.
