When questioned about voting by mail while trying to suppress our right to do the same, Trump’s answer was: “I used a mail-in ballot because I’m President of the United States.” Really? We are the People of the United States, and we demand the same rights! #TrumpVotedByMail

🚨 HOLY CRAP! President Trump PUMMELS fake news reporter trying to "gotcha" him on voting by mail in Florida "You mean, I used a mail-in ballot! You probably say—yeah, I did! You know why? Because I'm president of the United States, and because of the fact that I'm president of the United States, I did a mail-in ballot for elections that took place in Florida, because I felt I should be HERE instead of being in the beautiful sunshine!" REPORTER: "But you were in Palm Beach, sir, the last few weekends." TRUMP: "That's right. And I, yeah, and I decided that I was going to vote by mail-in ballot because I couldn't be there because I had a lot of different things!" "But you know, we have exceptions for mail-in ballots. You do know that, right? So if you're away, we have an exception. If you're in the military, we have an exception. If you're on a business trip, we have an exception. If you're disabled, we have an exception." "And if you're ill, if you're not feeling good, we have an exception." "So I was away, mostly in Washington, D.C., so I used a mail-in ballot. But I appreciate the question because I know it was SO well-meaning!" 😂😂

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Let's be clear about the country that we are fighting for. We the people demand full, protected, and restored voting rights in the United States of America. We the people demand guaranteed healthcare for every American as a right, and not a privilege. We the people of the United States of America, demand that one job with no need for overtime should be enough for our most basic needs.

Ansari: This campaign is very exciting and attempts to do three things. First of all, we are going to defeat far-right extremist attempts to go after voting rights in the state of Arizona. Second, we are going to enshrine vote by mail in our state constitution. Third, this is part of a broader national effort. We are building a national coalition to protect our free and fair elections across the United States.

As a matter of fact, the people who break the law are in enmity with the people of the United States... we used to call people who break the law, 'public enemies.'"

Mail-in voting is a critical way for Americans to make their voices heard in our elections. While Trump is trying to attack voting rights across the country, Dem Govs like @KatieHobbs are protecting the right to vote in their states.

MacFarlane: Is there any concern that opposition to the SAVE Act may give the perception that your party is against voter ID, which has some popularity across the country? Also, what do you make of the president voting by mail, as the SAVE Act seems to stop voting by mail? Jeffries: We have made clear repeatedly that we support voter ID laws. Here in this country, elections are administered by states and localities, and each state and locality has the ability to determine what is the most appropriate form of voter ID that should be required for their citizens to participate in voting in that state. New York State has very strong voter ID laws, which I support, and which facilitate voting in a way that allows for maximum participation by citizens while, at the same time, ensuring that elections are free and fair. This is a states’ rights issue. What happened to the days when Republicans actually supported states’ rights? These people are phony, and the example right now, among many, is the fact that for years Donald Trump has been railing against voting by mail, only to turn around and vote by mail in the special election taking place today in Florida.
