Aftercare isn't only for the one who surrenders. Holding power, guiding emotions, and containing another person's experience requires care, too. The nervous system doesn't simply switch off when a scene ends. The ritual matters. The transition matters. The return to self matters. Power is sustained by knowing when to release it.
