Wow I love this, never saw it before!! How brilliant that Nureyev joined in - giving so many more people the opportunity of seeing him via TV rather than in (expensive) classical performances which are so often out of reach for many.

Maybe it's me because I'm overweight, but this performance reinforced stereotypes. It would have been funny on its own rather than having made fun of Miss Piggy. Think of all the chubby girls who wanted to be ballerinas.
