SUPERMAN has a genius low‑tech VFX trick: to show Superman and Clark in the same shot, they filmed Christopher Reeve as Superman flying away, and projected that footage on a screen behind Margot kidder. The real Reeve then appears seconds later.

In the way that Andrew Garfield is the strongest actor to play Spidey, this applies to David Corenswet and Superman The script asks so much of him for the first movie and you really see David's range/versatility He flies alongside Christopher Reeve as a definitive #Superman

No disrespect to the others… but Christopher Reeve set the standard for Superman and nobody’s touched it since. Agree or disagree?

I don’t care what anyone says, this is a good Superman movie and Brandon Routh beautifully carried the legacy of Christopher Reeve.

In Man of Steel, Superman is the most realistic because Snyder wanted “a real hero.” “Everyone clings to the Christopher Reeve version of Superman.“ “I made him real. I wanted to show violence has consequences. It’s not funny. I wanted Superman to reflect the world we live in.”
